The Making of PRAY THEN COFFEE
The Story Behind the Scenes:
I used to wake up every morning and start my day by brewing my first of many cups of coffee. Working a full time job—that quickly became an overtime job—required all my mental and physical energy before 8 am. Waking up in the morning feeling extremely unmotivated and drained was an overwhelming reoccurrence, so I started praying to God for strength to get through the busy day ahead of me. The power of prayer will always amaze me! Immediately, I felt purposeful and energized to get my day going. From then on, I created a routine where I start my day by spending time with Jesus, before grabbing a cup of coffee and getting to work. He gives me the strength that caffine will never be able to measure up to, and because of that, I want to encourage all of us to put God first instead of seeking answers in worldly things, but also be thankful for the things He puts in our lives that makes us happy—like coffee! Now don’t get it twisted, I love a good cup of coffee at any time of the day, but coffee only lasts for so long. God's love, blessings, and glory though? Yeah, that’s forever!
And the church said AMEN.
